Winter League 2018/19

The Stockton Petanque Club 2018/19 Winter League started on 6th October 2018 and finished on 23rd March 2019 based upon the results of the Saturday Club, since 30th March was a Heart of England Inter-Club Competition.

The results went to the wire, with Richard Rushton just pipping Sarah Jerger with a better result on the last Saturday - ending with 72 points, just 1 point ahead of Sarah. Dave Hancox was third with 70 points and was disappointed because he missed several Saturday Clubs when on Junior Coaching duty and could have won it!

Points were awarded for the opening singles match and the follow-up pairs/triples match, on the basis of 3 for a win and 1 for a loss, except for the first Saturday of each month when we played a three round Open Melee - with just the first round result counting towards the Winter League.

When byes were necessary, 2 points are awarded.
