Winter League 2016/17

The Stockton Petanque Club 2016/17 Winter League started on 1st October 2016 and finished on 25th March 2017 based upon the results of the Saturday Club. A resounding victory for our Groundsman, Gareth Potter, for a strong performance throughout the winter months on our terrain that is open to the elements! Gareth totted up an impressive 97 points with a 68% win percentage. Vying for the runners up spots were Sarah Jerger with 82 points and Bill Bentley with 75 points

Points are awarded for the opening singles match and the follow-up pairs/triples match, on the basis of 3 for a win and 1 for a loss, except for the first Saturday of each month when we play a three round Open Melee - with just the first round result counting towards the Winter League. 

When byes are necessary, 2 points are awarded.
